Warm Terrace
This project was about shaping a full residence where open living, kitchen, bedrooms, and a rooftop terrace share one warm material language. Herringbone oak, soft neutrals, and precise millwork carry daily life from the interior to the outdoor deck — a calm, contemporary home that feels lived-in and refined.
The challenge was to keep a multi-level urban residence coherent — kitchen opening onto the terrace, living with stair and dining beyond, quiet bedrooms, and a spa bathroom — without fragmenting the palette. Warm timber, soft walls, and outdoor decking had to read as one domestic system, not as separate rooms.
The brief was clear: a warm contemporary residence with open-plan flow, herringbone continuity, and a terrace that extends daily life outdoors — luxury without hardness.
Our approach started with sequence: kitchen island toward the terrace doors, living as the soft core, stair as the vertical hinge, bedrooms and bath as quieter rooms upstairs. We aligned herringbone floors, handleless cabinetry, and neutral walls so every zone shares the same residential atmosphere.
From there we tuned light and outdoor connection — bamboo blinds at the glazing, recessed spots and soft sconces indoors, and a decked rooftop terrace that pulls the white-brick facade into the living story. Bath and bedroom finishes echo the same calm neutrals with brass and sage accents where intimacy matters.

The outcome is a coherent warm residence: clearer open-plan flow, a working kitchen that opens to the terrace, and bedrooms that hold quiet without breaking the material language. Living, stair, and dining read as one calm volume.
Clients gain a high-end home that photographs cleanly and performs daily — from morning light on the island to evening on the rooftop deck. The space reads contemporary, soft, and ready for long-term living across LU and NL urban contexts.
These shifts translated into measurable improvements:

Continuity from kitchen to terrace living
+45%
Daylight retention across open-plan zones
